One of the good mold design is to reduce the processing cost, reduce the processing difficulty and shorten the processing time under the premise of meeting the needs of customers. This requires not only to fully digest the needs of customers, but also to understand the machine, processing technology, mold structure, and processing capabilities of the mold factory itself. Therefore, to improve the level of mold design, you must:

1. Understand every detail of each mold design and understand the purpose of each part in the mold.

2. When designing, refer to previous similar designs to understand the situation of mold processing and product production, and learn its experience and lessons.

3. In order to deepen the relationship between the mold and the machine, better understand the working process of the machine.

4. Go to the factory to understand the process of processed products, and recognize the characteristics and limitations of each processing.

5. Understand the test results and transformation of the molds designed by yourself, and learn lessons from them.

6. Use the most successful mold structure in the design to the greatest extent.

7. Learn more about the impact of mold inflow on the product.

8. Research several special mold structures and understand new mold technology.

Third, determine the mold material and select standard parts.

When selecting mold materials, not only the accuracy and quality of the product must be considered, but also the actual processing and heat treatment capabilities of the mold factory must be combined to make the correct choice. In addition, in order to shorten the manufacturing cycle, please make full use of existing standard components.

Fourth, parts processing and mold assembly.

In addition to the accuracy of the injection mold in design, it meets the structure and reasonable tolerances, part processing and mold assembly are also very important. Therefore, the choice of processing precision and processing method occupies an absolute dominant position in two-color injection molding. The dimensional error of the molded product is mainly composed of the following parts:

1. The manufacturing error of the mold is about one-third

2. The error caused by mold wear is about one-sixth

3. The error caused by uneven shrinkage of molded parts is about one-third

4. The error caused by the inconsistency between the scheduled contraction and the actual contraction is about one-sixth
