Germany brand H13, 1.2344 steel for cavity and core, and P20 for A/B plate, but we evaluated steels based on customer’s warranty and mold lifespan, then we’ll suggest customers using most competitive steels.
Q2) What is the lead time for a liquid silicone rubber mold?
It is 2-3 weeks for DFM/Mold flow, 1-2 weeks for mold design and 5-8 weeks for the molds manufacturing, 3-4 weeks for molds correction, then ship molds to customer one week by air, 3-4 weeks by train (Europe), 4-5 weeks by sea. A: Our design engineers have over 8 years’ experience and project engineers have 2 years’ experience of mold design and 5 years’ experience of following up project.
DFM Report includes parting line, Gate location and type, Ejection, Part layout and mould structure, Draft angle check, Wall thickness analysis, Surface treatment, Engraving, Tolerance study, Part issue and suggestion etc.
Mold Flow Report includes Material Data, Process Suggestion, Runner and gate Design, Wall Thickness, Filling Video, Injection Temperature, V/P Switchover, Injection pressure, Clamping force, Shear Rate, Volumetric shrinkage, Sink marks, Weld line, Air trap, Deflection etc.
